Kirtland Youth Conference

So what's new--I'm way behind the times on this blog since Youth Conference was in June. This year, Youth Conference was a bus trip to Kirtland and Charles and I were "parents" of 17 of the youth.

Poor as it is, this is the only picture I have of the "family."

Here are some shots of Historic Kirtland, the area owned and restored by the LDS church.

Some of the "fam" at lunch time at the Morley farm.

Walking from the Johnson Farm to the Stake Center next door.

Tours of the Kirtland Temple are given by its current owners, the Community of Christ (formerly the Reorganized Church of Jesus Chris of Latter Day Saints). The highlight of the trip was a Sacrament Meeting held on Friday night in the Temple.

Our return home was delayed when we attempted to pass through Garrettsville, Ohio just as the World's Longest Tractor Parade was in full swing. Our bus driver maneuvered around the roadblock and eventually we ended up in the parade.
